Mazama Lodge Wedding
Some people need months of dating, a special kiss or the discovery of some quirky common ground to know that they’ve found The One. Jamie, however, knew precisely on their third date that Ty was the man she’d one day marry when he airplaned chili into her mouth.
And that’s pretty much all you need to know to understand how this entire day went down. Lots of laughter and silliness inbetween a beautiful onslaught of joyful emotions. And can we talk about how Jamie opted to do a First Look with her dad before going off to see Ty? To this day it stands as one of my favorite moments I’ve ever witnessed at a wedding.
Afterwards we took a stroll around the Timberline Lodge to say hello to Mt. Hood before Jamie and Ty marched off into the sunshine to exchange vows. Meanwhile, the biggest crew of Minnesotans to hit Oregon enjoyed the grounds at the Lodge and Jamie’s mom may or may not have said Or-y-gun during the toasts.
Listen, you haven’t seen tight knit until you’ve spent a wedding day with people from the Midwest. Many of these folks drove to Oregon from Minnesota for this day. This day that put emphasis in all the right places: sunshine, community, hula hoops and sipples from a flask under a mountain. And how!
