I’m shocked it’s taken me so long to photograph a wedding at Southeast Portland’s Laurelhurst Club, mostly because I live so close by that I literally walked to Ellen & Brian’s wedding.
This whole day mirrored that casual vibe and felt like a big Sunday get together that just happened to have nuptials and karaoke in the mix. To polish off the mood it was catered by Portland brunch powerhouse Screen Door. Because what’s an afternoon wedding without chicken and waffles?
I love when couples opt for a more low-key celebration. Everyone just feels so much more relaxed. Except maybe their 2 year old son, who had a seemingly limitless supply of energy!
One of the best parts about a Laurelhurst Club wedding is that the sprawling Laurelhurst Park is right across the street. We made sure to mosey on over after the ceremony for portraits of the newlyweds giggling and canoodling amongst the tall trees.
