Camp Angelos Wedding
They met in 2009 on a short-lived dating site put together by the Portland Mercury and were each other’s second ever internet date. Bonding over things like nature documentaries, a certain brand of comedy as well as a mutual disinterest in ever owning pets they proceeded to go the slow and steady route for almost a decade. It wasn’t really a single moment that they knew they were each other’s person, so much as a string of really monumental changes they went through together. From surviving career shifts, buying a hoarder house to renovate, to family crises, they’d gone through enough to know they were in it to win it. They even did a double glass smashing at the end of their wedding ceremony, “because feminism.”
So let’s fast forward to this summer. Where Lynn and Peter scooped up all their family and friends and spent the weekend out at Camp Angelos playing games, dodging rain, singing love songs to each other and partying all night long.
