Rio Dell Wedding Photographer

This is Part I of Brittney & Damien’s Rio Dell wedding photographs.

A week and a half ago Brittney and Damien tied the knot in Rio Dell, California in a small backyard. Brittney and I had art classes together at Humboldt state — she was the first person I met in our photo courses and have been shutter sisters ever since. I can’t express how excited I was to have them put their faith in me as the wedding photographer for their very special day.

Doing anything in Humboldt is always a bit tricky given the capricious coastal weather, so everyone was a bit on edge the morning of when we awoke to cloudy skies and an insane amount of wind. Luckily, there wasn’t a drop of rain, and of course the overcast made for great portrait lighting, even if we were freezing our buns off at times.
