I’ve never been good at keeping this place up to date but… yeesh. In my defense, it’s an undeniable fact that the year 2019 occurred no less than 500 years ago. The last two years have been brutal for us all and more than once I thought I might never shoot a wedding again. And not because I didn’t want to, but because the world had quickly changed so much and I didn’t know where my place in it would be when we started crawling out the other side of this thing.
Life still isn’t quite like it used to be, and won’t ever be. When I sat down to pick up the pieces of my business I realized I’d never shared the work I created in that last carefree year before the pandemic hit. And then again, hoarding it all away the few times I did leave the house. While looking back on all these photos it became obvious that my place will always be behind the camera, vivaciously documenting the one thing I’ve yearned for more than anything in the last two years: human connection.
Photos below span between May 2019 and December 2021.
All my love, respect and admiration to Tari Gunstone and Airyka Rockefeller who assisted me in some of these sessions.
