VISUAL CONCEPTS WITH A PORTLAND MUSICIAN
The last time I blogged about working with Robin Bacior was December 2016. I was about to head into the recording studio to document the making of her upcoming album. We had just wrapped up a quick portrait shoot that fall where I produced one of my favorite press photos to date. Those images were the jumping point for where we are today.
Robin and I had already been working together for awhile, and I even went on her Italy tour the year before. But this time in the studio together felt like the true beginning of our collaboration. It’s where we started developing a visual concept to compliment the themes surrounding her new album.
I had so much fun sitting in on a wildly different creative process than I’m used to. The days were long (sometimes we spent 10 hours in the studio!) but it felt good bringing to life all the hard work that often goes unnoticed when trapped behind the scenes.
Enjoy the album trailer below, the last year and a half of press photos and resulting album cover.
Light It Moved Me comes out August 31st on Spirit House Records.
