Earlier this week we had a surprise-gathering for Bob’s birthday at a whiskey bar called Branch, up on Alberta.

Most anyone who knows me even a little know that I don’t drink (and anyone who knows the boys from Harlowe know that they LOVE their whiskey!), but I gave in anyway and had a couple too-expensive cocktails: a Brown Derby and a Portland 75. I liked the latter more than the former, but it was basically a glorified wine spritzer, so my lack of cred in the drinking department remains in tact. :)

These aren’t the greatest pictures I’ve ever taken, but I wanted to share them for all who were there with us. Thanks to Kirsten and Andrew for organizing it all on such short notice.
