Irvington on Film

January 13, 2012

There’s a fair amount of wandering around the neighborhood, camera in hand, that takes place when a new toy enters the home, and the F100 was no exception. I’ve put the brakes on a bit now, but I was going through a 36 exp. roll every other day for awhile.

A few of these were shot on Kodak Portra 400, but most are from a roll of Fuji Pro 400H that I accidentally overexposed by 2 stops. I was expecting the whole roll to be completely washed out, but I didn’t have a single blown out frame. Good to know that 400H has that much latitude!

Since I’ve been shooting so much I’m trying to be more selective about what I put on the blog. Be sure to check out my Flickr stream from time to time to see extra photos — or as one of my favorite Portland photographers calls them, “B-Sides.”

Happy Friday!

these are so beautiful…
I particularly love the shot of lavender and the horse in the tree :)

Now that is some seriously yummy bokeh. (Have you seen the “Shit Photographers Say” video yet?) Love that the park doesn’t close at midnight, but 12:01 on the dot. :)

I love your photos. Great.

Beautiful photographs! I love the one with the horse in the tree, :)

Wow, how awesome is that house!?

And I’m a big Dave fan too! And Whitney for that matter! So much talent.

400H looks the best 1.5-2 stops overexposed i think! that colorful house is amazing.
